Connecticut Whale News Release
The Wolf Pack won three out of four games last week, improving to 10-1-1-0 since the turn of the calendar year and extending their franchise-record road winning streak to eight games. The Pack saw their five-game overall win streak snapped Wednesday, in a 3-2 loss at home to Providence, but then rebounded to capture the next three games. They came from behind in the third period to win both Friday night in Portland (5-4 final) and Saturday evening at Lowell (3-2), and then outlasted Springfield at the Hartford Civic Center Sunday, 2-1, outshooting the Falcons 55-22 in the process. Nigel Dawes (2-3-5) and Dwight Helminen (2-3-5) were the pacesetters for the week's Pack attack.
