Wolves Weather Storm

The Wolves were at home Friday night to host the best team in the OHL, the Guelph Storm for the only time this season. The Wolves put on a dramatic show for the 3889 fans in attendance as they cameback to score 6 straight goals to defeat the Storm by a 6-5 final.

During the first period, the Storm showed Wolves fans exactly why they are ranked the 2nd best team in the Canadian Hockey League as they took a 3-0 lead after the first period. Shots on goal were 13-10 in favour of the Storm.

The first half of the second period was all Guelph as well as they added two more goals to take a 5-0 lead. Wolves' forward JACOB HARRIS got the Wolves going as he added his 9th goal of the season. RADEK FAKSA added a power play goal with 30 seconds remaining in the second frame to close the Storm to 3 goals. Shots on goal after the second were 29-19 in favour of the Storm.

The Wolves took over in the third as TREVOR CARRICK, NATHAN PANCEL, RAY HUETHER and NICK BAPTISTE added singles to give the Wolves this much needed victory. Fans were on their edge of their seats until the very end.

All 6 of the Wolves goals came from different players.

The Wolves are back in action Saturday night when they host the Niagara IceDogs at 7pm. It's VALE SUDBURY SATURDAY NIGHT. The Box Office will open at 4pm to purchase and pick up tickets. Tickets are also available for purchase online at www.greatersudbury.ca. See you there!
