
Wolves Take Care of Business, Get Win over Stars

Des Moines, Iowa - Elijah Millsap led the Iowa Wolves (21-25) to a 112-102 victory over the Salt Lake City Stars (16-31) Saturday evening, scoring a season-high 31 points to give the Wolves the season series.
With the win, the Wolves remain in NBA G League playoff contention.
Millsap finished 5-of-10 from deep, tying a season-high while adding eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in the Wolves' first home victory since Feb. 6th.
Anthony Brown returned to the starting lineup to score 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor. The Stanford graduated knocked down 3-of-6 shots from the three-point line and added seven rebounds for Iowa.
After 16 lead changes throughout the game, the Wolves pulled ahead in the final two minutes with an 8-1 run to end the game.
Melo Trimble registered a team-high six assists along with 14 points. The former Terrapin finished 2-of-2 from deep.
As a team the Wolves shot 48.2% from the field, 46.2% from the three-point line and 83.3% from the charity stripe, all above season averages.
Perry Jones III scored all of his 11 total points in the first half. The forward shot 4-of-8 from the field and finished with six rebounds and four assists.
The tandem of Isaiah Cousins and Diamond Stone was a force for Salt Lake City, recording 25 points and 23 points respectively. Former Iowa State Cyclone Naz Mitrou-Long finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
Iowa will play its final home game this Tuesday against the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Fan Appreciation Night. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
