The Chicago Wolves have signed defenseman EVAN NIELSEN, who played parts of the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons with the team.

Nielsen, who was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers with their 11th pick, 242nd overall, in the 2000 National Hockey League Entry Draft, has registered five assists and 12 penalty minutes in 25 games with the ECHL's Trenton Titans this season.

Last year, Nielsen notched one goal and six penalty minutes in 18 games with the Wolves. He also played 45 regular-season games with the Gwinnett Gladiators (ECHL), recording 13 assists, 19 points and 43 penalty minutes, and 13 playoff games, posting one goal and 12 penalty minutes.

Overall, the 23-year-old blueliner has accrued two goals and 10 penalty minutes in 23 games with the Wolves (2002-2004).
