Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON – The Binghamton Senators announced Wednesday that forward Derek Campbell has been recalled from the Elmira Jackals of the United Hockey League (UHL).

In 41 games with Elmira this season Campbell has tallied 14 points (2 goals, 12 assists) and is the team leader in penalty minutes with 140.

Campbell, who turns 25 in April, will be in the line up tonight as the Senators begin a stretch of five straight games away from Binghamton against the Norfolk Admirals. Campbell will replace rookie winger Danny Bois in the line up. Bois and Jeremy Reich of Syracuse were each suspended two games for their actions during Sunday's game between the Senators and Crunch.

Campbell participated in two AHL games for the Senators last season and was held scoreless while recording two penalty minutes. He returned to Binghamton last September for the Senators training camp and played in two preseason games picking up an assist and eight penalty minutes before being assigned to Elmira.
