
Wolves Set Franchise Record with 26 Three-Pointers Made in Blowout Win over Lakers

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves (2-3) set a new franchise record Wednesday evening, sinking 26 three-point baskets in a 129-105 victory over the South Bay Lakers (2-3) at Wells Fargo Arena.
The old franchise record of 22 three-pointers made was set on January 9, 2015 against the Oklahoma City Blue.
Minnesota Timberwolves assignee Jaylen Nowell and former Iowa State University standout Lindell Wigginton each finished with 25 points and seven three-pointers made for the Wolves.
Iowa shot and made more three-pointers (26-58, 44.8%) than two-point tries (20-39, 51.3%) on the evening.
The home team led for the entirety of the game, leading by as many as 33 points during the contest.
Two-way player Jordan McLaughlin, Timberwolves assignee Naz Reid and Jordan Murphy each finished with a double-double. McLaughlin added 16 points and a team-high 12 assists. Reid tallied 15 points and a season-high 15 rebounds while Murphy posted his second consecutive double-double, finishing with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Four of five starters ended in double figures for South Bay, including former Cyclone Talen Horton-Tucker. The forward posted 11 points and three rebounds in the Lakers loss.
Iowa will close out its five-game homestand Friday night as it takes on the Austin Spurs at 7:00 p.m.
