Chicago Wolves News Release
The Vancouver Canucks have assigned center STEVE REINPRECHT (RIGHN-prehkt) to the Chicago Wolves. REINPRECHT was acquired along with center DAVID BOOTH and a third-round selection in the 2013 National Hockey League Entry Draft, in a trade with the Florida Panthers, in exchange for forwards MIKAEL SAMUELSSON and MARCO STURM on Oct. 22.
REINPRECHT has skated in five American Hockey League games with the San Antonio Rampage this season.
The 35-year-old forward split last season between the Panthers and the Mannheim Eagles of the German Elite League. He posted 6 assists and 10 points in 29 NHL tilts with Florida and 9 assists and 13 points in 18 German League contests with Mannheim.
Overall, the Edmonton native has amassed 140 goals, 242 assists and 382 points in 663 career NHL outings with the Los Angeles Kings, Colorado Avalanche, Calgary Flames, Phoenix Coyotes and Florida, spanning 10 seasons (2000-11).
REINPRECHT will join the Wolves when they take on the Milwaukee Admirals in an Amtrak Rivalry matchup at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 at the Allstate Arena. For more information on ticket packages or group outings, visit chicagowolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
