Wolves Hold on for Thrilling Home Win over Blue

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves (7-8) let a 15-point lead slip to a one-point advantage with 11.9 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter before pulling out a 107-105 victory over the Oklahoma City Blue (4-10) Tuesday evening at Wells Fargo Arena.

Minnesota Timberwolves assignees Naz Reid and Jaylen Nowell stole the spotlight, finishing with 23 points and 21 points respectively for the home team.

Reid added 12 rebounds and three three-pointers while earning his sixth double-double of the season and first since Nov. 29.

Nowell tallied a team-high four three-pointers made while shooting 4-of-8 (50.0%) from deep.

Iowa led for all but 0:45 seconds during tonight's matchup while winning its fourth home game of the season.

Both teams converted 41 field goals on the evening, the difference being Iowa's 10-to-7 advantage in makes from the three-point line. The Wolves held the Blue to just 24.1% shooting from deep.

Lindell Wigginton had a big night off the bench for the Wolves, adding 18 points on 7-of-15 shooting.

Six players finished in double figures for Oklahoma City, led by guard Myke Henry with 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the floor.

Iowa heads to the first-ever MGM Resorts NBA G League Winter Showcase Tournament for a two-game swing beginning with the Capital City Go-Go on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. CT.
