Greensboro Swarm News Release

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, scored 71 second-half points but it was not enough as the Delaware Blue Coats took Tuesday's game, 139-124, at the Fieldhouse at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. The Swarm fall to 4-11 overall on the season while the Blue Coats improve to 10-4.

The Swarm had four players score 20-plus points, led by Jalen McDaniels' 25 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 35 minutes. Robert Franks chipped in 23 points and seven rebounds in 39 minutes. Joe Chealey (22 points) and Kobi Simmons (21 points) made up the other two 20-point scorers.

Delaware was led by two strong efforts from the bench. Shake Milton had a game-high 32 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Jared Brownridge made seven 3-pointers and finished the game with 27 points. In total, the Delaware's bench outscored the Swarm reserves, 139-124.

The scoring difference in the game was in the first quarter, where the Blue Coats built a, 35-20, lead over Greensboro. The Swarm shot 7-for-24 in the frame while Delaware shot 58 percent (14-24 FG). The Swarm improved after the slow start, scoring more than 30 points per quarter the rest of the way but so did the Blue Coats.

Next for the Swarm is a trip to Las Vegs for the MGM Resorts NBA G League Winter Showcase. Greensboro opens the event with the Westchester Knicks (New York Knicks affiliate) on Friday, December 20, at 5:30 p.m. ET.
