
Wolves Fail to Fend off Kings, Drop First Road Contest of Season

Stockton, Calif. - The Iowa Wolves (4-5) couldn't keep the Stockton Kings (7-3) at bay Saturday evening, letting an 18-point lead slip away during a 111-107 loss.
The Wolves led throughout most of the game before dropping the contest, overtaking the score within the first two minutes of the game and holding the lead until the final two minutes of regulation.
Minnesota Timberwolves assignee Jaylen Nowell and two-way guard Jordan McLaughlin each finished with 20 points for Iowa.
Nowell finished 9-of-13 from the field while McLaughlin shot 9-of-14.
Former Iowa State University standout Lindell Wigginton posted a team-high 21 points off the bench for Iowa to go along with five rebounds and four assists.
As a team the Wolves shot 50.0% from the field but struggled from deep, converting just 9-of-34 (26.5%) attempts.
Two-way guard Kyle Guy poured in a game-high 42 points for Stockton on 11-of-23 shooting, including 8-of-16 from downtown. The University of Virginia alum tallied a career-high in the Kings win.
Iowa returns home for a one-game homestand against the Oklahoma City Blue on Monday, Dec. 2 at 7:00 p.m. CT.
