
Kyle Guy Scores 42 Points in Stockton Kings Win over Iowa Wolves

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Kings (7-3), the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, beat the Iowa Wolves (4-4), the NBA G League affiliate of the Minnesota Timberwolves, 111-107 to wrap up their three-game home stand and bring their record to 5-0 at home. Two-way forward Kyle Guy finished the game with a career-high 42 points.
In the first half, Guy scored 20 of his 42 points with 12 points scored in the second quarter. With two minutes remaining in the first half, the Iowa Wolves led by 18 points with the score 60-42. Guy secured a three-point basket to cut Iowa's lead to 64-57 with .5 seconds left on the clock before halftime.
In the third quarter, Stockton two-way forward DaQuan Jefferies scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds, six on the defensive end. Guy hit another three-point shot at the buzzer to end the third quarter, bringing the score to 92-83 with Iowa leading to start the fourth.
Guy scored 14 points in the fourth quarter. His three-point basket at the five-minute mark brought the game to a tie at 96-96 - the first tie since the first two minutes of the game - and he quickly followed it up with a layup to put Stockton in their first lead of the game. The game was tied at 105 with two minutes remaining in regulation. Sacramento Kings assignment player Caleb Swanigan made two free throws to give Stockton the lead. Stockton kept the lead by making free throws.
Guy finished the game with 42 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Jefferies added a double-double in Stockton's victory, with 20 points and 19 rebounds. Swanigan added an additional 12 points and 10 rebounds. Iowa Wolves guards Jalen Nowell and Jordan McLaughlin scored 20 points apiece.
Stockton will have a week off before beginning December with a four-game road trip that starts in Oklahoma to face the Oklahoma City Blue on Saturday, December 7 at 5 p.m. This game can be viewed via ESPN+.
