
Lakeland Drops Home Contest to Blue Coats

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, fell to the Delaware Blue Coats 109-83 in front of a home crowd at the RP Funding Center.
The Blue Coats controlled the game from the jump, getting out to a 16-0 lead. Hassani Gravett scored the first points for Lakeland on a pull-up jumper with 6:30 left on the clock in the first. The Blue Coats would extend the lead to 23 points in the quarter and led 36-16 after one. The Magic started to chip away at the lead but the Blue Coats would hold onto a 14-point lead with the score 57-43 at the half.
Lakeland fought back in the third to cut Blue Coats lead in half after five minutes of play. At the end of three quarters, the Magic trailed the Blue Coats 79-67 but Delaware outscored Lakeland 30-16 in the final quarter of play for the final score 109-83.
Two-Way Player, BJ Johnson scored 22 points and 4 rebounds on the night. Isaac Humphries posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. John Davis came off the bench with 15 points.
The Blue Coats had five players in double figures. Two-Way Player, Marial Shayok scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Xavier Munford posted 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Doral Moore had a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Haywood Highsmith scored 16 points and 4 rebounds. Assignment Player, Shake Milton scored 13 points and 6 rebounds.
Up next, the Magic travel to Washington, DC to take on the Capital City Go-Go on Tuesday, December 3. Tip-off at the Entertainment and Sports Arena is set for 11:30 am for the team's annual School Day game. The game will be available on ESPN+.
