Everett Silvertips News Release

REGINA, Sask. - Sean Richards scored a goal and added an assist in his return to Regina, Bryce Kindopp earned a multi-point game, and Dustin Wolf made 20 stops to help the Everett Silvertips cruise to a 5-1 victory over the Regina Pats on Sunday at Brandt Centre in WHL action.

The Tips improved to 2-1-0-0 on the seven-game road trip and scored five unanswered goals en route to the win, outshooting the Pats, 32-21. The Tips won in Regina for the second straight visit after dropping the previous two road matchups, and improved to 7-7-2-0 in the all-time series.

UP NEXT: The Silvertips continue their seven-game road trip Tuesday against the host Prince Albert Raiders at 6:00 p.m. PT (1380 AM / 95.3 FM / Tips App / WHL Live) at Art Hauser Centre. The Tips return home after a seven-game road trip on Friday, Nov. 2 against the Tri-City Americans at 7:35 p.m. Tickets are on sale at www.everettsilvertips.com/tickets.

Nick Henry ripped a power play goal through traffic from the right point, that deflected off the Silvertips defense for the game's first goal at 6:59, but the Tips responded on Richards' first of the season.

In his first game back in the lineup, Richards cruised into the Regina zone, cut into the slot from his off wing, and fired a wrist shot under the bar at 9:54.

Dustin Wolf turned in six saves in the first period, including a wrist shot from Koby Morriseau after he slipped behind the Silvertips defense to the left circle. Early in the second, Reece Vitelli deflected his first goal of the season behind Max Paddock at 1:06.

Just 15 seconds into the third period and following a recently expired power play, Jake Christiansen hammered a shot from the left point that deflected off Bryce Kindopp for a 3-1 lead and the Tips tacked on six minutes later, extending their lead off a bizarre bounce.

With the Silvertips and Pats pursuing a loose puck between the circles, Parker Gavlas nearly deposited the puck into his own net, which deflected off the post and was then buried by Riley Sutter from the right circle for a power play goal at 6:15.

Regina pulled Paddock for a sixth attacker with about five minutes remaining on a power play, and Christiansen capitalized with an empty netter with 3:35 to go in regulation.
