ICE Acquire '00-Born Forward Nick Bowman, Draft Pick from Moose Jaw

Cranbrook, B.C. - The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club announced on Monday that its acquired 2000-born forward Nick Bowman and a 2021 sixth round draft pick from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for 2000-born forwards Keenan Taphorn and Kaeden Taphorn.

Bowman is in the middle of his third WHL season. The Sherwood Park, Alberta native started his WHL career with the Edmonton Oil Kings after being selected by the organization in the sixth round (115th overall) of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. In 127 regular season games, Bowman has recorded 13 goals and 14 assists for 27 points.

"We look forward to adding Nick to our forward group," said Matt Cockell, President and General Manager. "We would like to thank Keenan and Kaeden for their contributions on the ice and in the community."

The next home game for the ICE is against the Brandon Wheat Kings on Wednesday, October 24. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
