Hartford Wolf Pack News Release
The Wolf Pack swept three home games this past week, improving their record on the year to 3-1-0-0. On Wednesday night against Providence the Pack notched its first win of the season, as Adam Tambellini's first pro goal, an overtime power-play strike, gave Hartford a 4-3 victory over the Providence Bruins. Magnus Hellberg then posted the Wolf Pack's first shutout of the season Saturday night, stopping 30 Utica Comet shots in a 3-0 Hartford triumph. The Pack completed the perfect week on Sunday against Syracuse, with Brian Gibbons tallying a goal and an assist, and Ryan Bourque netting the power-play game-winner, in a 5-2 defeat of the Crunch.

This week:
After playing their first four games of the season at the XL Center, the Wolf Pack start a string of four straight on the road with three games in enemy rinks this weekend. The Pack travel to Syracuse for a rematch with the Crunch this Friday (7:00 PM faceoff), and then head to Hershey for games against the Bears Saturday at 7:00 and Sunday at 5:00.
Friday, October 23 at the Syracuse Crunch (Tampa Bay) at the War Memorial Arena, 7:00 p.m.
- Syracuse's 5-2 loss to the Wolf Pack Sunday at the XL Center was the Crunch's first setback in three games on the season. Last year Syracuse went 41-25-10-0 for 92 points and finished three points behind the division-champion Wolf Pack in the Northeast.
- This game completes a quick two-game season series between the Wolf Pack and Crunch, who are no longer divisional rivals this year. The 2014-15 series saw the Wolf Pack go 3-5-0-0 vs. the Crunch, and the Wolf Pack lost their last three visits to the War Memorial Arena after winning their first.
- This is the Wolf Pack's first away game of the season. Last year on the road Ken Gernander's club was 19-16-1-2. The Crunch has won its only previous home game in 2015-16, a 2-1 victory Saturday night over Binghamton. Syracuse was 22-10-6-0 in home action last season.
- Former Quinnipiac University Bobcat Matthew Peca scored one of the Crunch's two goals in Sunday's game in Hartford. That was Peca's first tally of the season and the second of his pro career.

Saturday, October 24 at the Hershey Bears (Washington) at the Giant Center, 7:00 p.m.
- Last season's Wolf Pack scoring leader, Chris Bourque, who finished tied for fourth in the AHL in goals and fifth in points with 29-37-66 in 73 games, signed with Washington this past summer and has 1-2-3 in the Bears' first three games.
- The Wolf Pack and Bears met in the playoffs for the first time ever in 2014-15, and the Wolf Pack took the Eastern Conference Semi-final series in six games. In regular-season action between the two clubs, the Wolf Pack went 1-2-1-0 in four games, and the Pack and Hershey split a pair of battles at the Giant Center.
- Hartford and Hershey are in the same division, the Atlantic, for the first time in Wolf Pack history this season and will meet four times. The Pack sport a 13-7-0-1 all-time record in 21 regular-season games at the Giant Center.
- This is the Bears' home opener after four straight on the road. Hershey won its first game of the year, 5-1 in Springfield last Saturday, but dropped a pair in Portland this past weekend, 3-2 on Saturday and 5-2 Sunday.

Sunday, October 25 at the Hershey Bears (Washington) at the Giant Center, 5:00 p.m.
- Hershey had the second-best home record in the AHL last season, going 26-7-3-2 in Giant Center action. Overall in 2014-15, first-year head coach Troy Mann's club finished 46-22-5-3 for an even 100 points, good for tops in the East Division and second in the Eastern Conference.
- Fifth-year pro centerman Carter Camper is the Bears' leading point-getter through Hershey's first three games, with a goal and three assists for four points. Rookie Riley Barber paces the team in goals with three.
