Connecticut Whale News Release
The Wolf Pack dropped two close contests this past weekend, as a two-game road trip to Norfolk, VA yielded a pair of 3-1 losses. Ryan Callahan scored both of the Wolf Pack goals in the two-game series, the first two tallies of his pro career.
This week:
The Wolf Pack face their first four-games-in-five-nights stretch of the young season. The first three are home contests, Wednesday vs. Portland, Friday against Providence and Saturday vs. Norfolk (all 7:00 faceoffs), and the Pack finish off the busy week with a GEICO Connecticut Cup visit to Bridgeport on Sunday (4:00 start).
Wednesday, November 1 vs. Portland at the Hartford Civic Center, 7:00 p.m.
The Pirates, under Head Coach Kevin Dineen, won the first matchup between themselves and the Wolf Pack, 1-0, on October 21.
After a 6-0-0-1 start, Portland has suffered regulation losses in its last two games.
Pierre Parenteau, who had the only goal in the Pirates' win in Hartford on October 21, leads the Portland club in scoring with 5-6-11 in nine games.
Selected Wolf Pack players will be conducting a free postgame autograph session in the Lower Mezzanine area of the Civic Center.
