
Prust, Boyd Recalled By Calgary

The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights announced today that the Calgary Flames, their National Hockey League affiliate, have recalled left wing Brandon Prust and center Dustin Boyd. It is the first NHL recall for both players. The announcement was made by Flames' General Manager Darryl Sutter. Prust and Boyd will join the Flames on their three-game road trip which begins Wednesday in Detroit.
Boyd leads the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights in scoring with four goals and nine assists for thirteen points in nine games. He is second in AHL rookie scoring and assists. His three game-winning goals lead all AHL rookies and are tied for first overall in the league. The native of Winnipeg, Manitoba was the Flames' third round pick, 98th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
Prust is currently tied for fourth in team scoring with two goals and four assists for six points. He has a team leading 30 penalty minutes and is tied for the team lead among forwards with a +6 plus/minus ratio. Last year, the native of London, Ontario led the Knights with 294 penalty minutes while earning twelve goals and 14 assists for 26 points in 79 games. Prust was chosen by the Flames in the third round, 70th overall, of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
The Ak-Sar-Ben Knights, winners of eight straight games, host the Chicago Wolves on Friday, November 3rd at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, they'll welcome the Iowa Stars for another 7:00 p.m. face-off. Tickets for all Ak-Sar-Ben Knights' games are on sale at the Omaha Civic Auditorium box office Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets also are available through all Ticketmaster outlets and by phone at (402) 422-1212.
Kids 12 and under get in free to all Ak-Sar-Ben Knights games with a paid adult ticket purchased at the box office from 5:00 p.m. on. Other restrictions apply.
