HARTFORD, CT - Dale Weise scored the game-winning goal 1:15 into overtime and Brodie Dupont added two assists as the Hartford Wolf Pack defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 2-1 in overtime Saturday night at the XL Center. Matt Martin scored the Sound Tigers only goal.

Evgeny Grachev put the Wolf Pack on the board with 6:23 left in the first period. After Scott Munroe turned aside a scoring attempt by Dupont, Grachev picked up the loose rebound and backhanded a shot into the top of the net for his seventh goal of the year.

A physical second period ended scoreless. The best scoring chance for either team came late in the period when Bridgeport's Greg Mauldin had a breakaway attempt stopped by Hartford goaltender Steve Valiquette.

Midway through the third period, Corey Potter hit the post with a scoring chance for the Wolf Pack. Moments later, at the 9:03 mark of the period, Potter misfired on a clearing attempt in his own zone, leaving the puck sitting in front of his own net. Martin swooped in and put a shot into the top of the net to tie the score. It was Martin's sixth goal of the season.

Weise's game-winner was the culmination of a pressure sequence for the Wolf Pack. Bobby Saguinetti fired an initial shot on net which Munroe batted away. Dupont jumped on the rebound and quickly shuffled it over to Weise who snapped a shot from the left face-off circle past Munroe to win the game for Hartford.

Hartford outshot Bridgeport 29-26. Munroe made 27 saves for the Sound Tigers while Valiquette stopped 25 shots to earn the win for the Wolf Pack.

The Sound Tigers are back in action Tuesday night when they host the Portland Pirates at 7:00 pm at Harbor Yard. The game will feature the Sound Tigers annual Hanukkah Celebration. For tickets, please call TicketMaster at 1-800-745-3000.
