
WNBA Teams Set Rosters for 2009 Season

NEW YORK, June 5, 2009 - WNBA teams have set their rosters for the 2009 season, which tips off tomorrow with a full slate of six games on opening day. The action gets underway on ABC as Lisa Leslie begins her final WNBA season when the Los Angeles Sparks host the defending champion Detroit Shock at 2:30 p.m. ET. Other key matchups include the San Antonio Silver Stars facing off against the Phoenix Mercury and the Connecticut Sun hosting the Washington Mystics.
WNBA opening day rosters feature 18 international players from 11 different countries.
In addition, WNBA LiveAccess, a new feature on WNBA.com, will provide fans with free access to more than 200 live game Webcasts - the league's most comprehensive offering - throughout the 2009 WNBA season. Overall, the extensive online offering will complement the WNBA's broadcast coverage, which includes live national telecasts of up to 29 regular season and postseason contests on ESPN2 and ABC and another 50 games on NBA TV, as well as games streamed on ESPN360.com.
