AUBURN, NY - On Sunday afternoon, the Doubledays trailed 2-1 heading into the bottom of the eighth. With 8-9-1 up for Auburn, it was ultimately the cleanup hitter Rhett Wiseman who was the hero in the 5-2 victory.

With two outs and nobody on, the Doubledays still were without a hit and the last 14 hitters had been retired when Jake Jefferies stepped in. Jefferies singled up the middle, moved to second on a single by Randy Encarnacion, and then came around to score on a single by Jorge Tillero.
Two innings later in the eighth, the Muckdogs took back the lead. After Galvi Moscat flew out to center to start the eighth, Brandon Rawe walked and stole second. The outfielder came around to score from second on a single to center by Travis Bewster and the Muckdogs led 2-1.

Diomedes Eusebio then hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Gutierrez and give the 'Days a 5-2 lead.
In the top of the ninth, Luis Torres came in and retired Batavia's 3-4-5 hitters in order to seal the victory and clinch the season series against the Muckdogs for the Doubledays.
