Wisconsin Rapids Rafters News Release
Kalamazoo, Mich- The Rafters will play their 2nd doubleheader in three days this Sunday at Homer Stryker Field. The game that began Saturday night will pick up right where it left off in the bottom of the fourth inning with the Rafters leading 1-0. The Kalamazoo Growlers have a man on 2nd base with two outs. The Rafters scored the only run of the game so far on a sacrifice fly from Blake Molitor in the top of the 2nd inning. Ryan Cleveland scored from third after leading off the 2nd inning with a double to right-field.
The second game will feature a pitching matchup we saw back on Monday June 8th at Historic Witter Field. The Rafters will have Adam Hall on the hill while the Growlers will throw Shane Bryant. Bryant got the best of the Rafters in that game, only allowing one run in the rain shortened affair. The opening day winner Hall will make his fourth start of the summer for Wisconsin Rapids. He comes into Sunday with a win-loss record of 1-1 and a 3.78 ERA.
The Rafters hit the road for another two games in Lakeshore after the today's games in Kalamazoo. The Rafters return home to Historic Witter Field Wednesday to take on the first place Kenosha Kingfish. Tickets are still available, call 715-424-5400.
