
Wisconsin Herd Acquires A.J. Hess in Trade with Canton Charge

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, has acquired guard A.J. Hess from the Canton Charge in exchange for Wisconsin's own third-round pick in the 2019 NBA G League Draft. This trade is subject to Hess passing a physical.
Hess played most recently with Belfius Mons-Hainaut (Belgium) and averaged 5.2 points and 1.5 rebounds in 17.7 minutes per game. The 6-foot-7 guard appeared in 25 games (23 starts) with Starwings Basket Regio Basel (Switzerland) during the 2017-18 season and averaged 15.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists. The Arizona native went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft after playing one collegiate season at South Dakota State and three seasons at Southern Utah. He held NCAA career averages of 9.0 points and 3.4 rebounds in 24.5 minutes per contest.
Hess will wear No. 4 for Wisconsin. The Herd roster now stands at 12 players.
