Texas Legends News Release

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends will bring in the holiday spirit Saturday night, celebrating Toys for Tots with InTouch Credit Union. Saturday's game will be the final drop-off opportunity for toys for the season.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation got its start in 1947 when Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks was looking for a local agency to deliver his wife's handmade dolls to children in need. When he couldn't find such an agency, he and his unit created their own and distributed 5,000 toys that year. The following year it became a national community action campaign and was officially recognized as a 501(c)3 in 1991. Currently, Toys for Tots averages over 18 million toys annually.

InTouch Credit Union is a founding partner of the Legends and has partnered with Toys for Tots for the past six years, collecting toy donations at all of their DFW branches. InTouch is the official credit union of the Legends with six branches across the metroplex. Along with Toys for Tots night, InTouch is the presenting sponsor of the Legends' Read to Achieve program and other community initiatives promoting health, literacy, and overall wellness throughout North Dallas.

Fans who bring a toy Saturday night will receive a free ticket to the game, courtesy of InTouch. Along with an on-court rematch against the in-state rival Austin Spurs, fans will have the opportunity to meet Santa and take photos thoughout the winter wonderland themed concourse.

The Spurs took the first match of the series Thursday night, but the Legends look to rebound in their icy blue Winter Wonderland jerseys. A limited number of tickets are still available for Saturday night. For more information or to purchase yours today call 214-469-0822 or visit www.TexLegends.com.
