
Spurs Take First Texas Showdown in Frisco

FRISCO, TX - The Austin Spurs (4-5) held the Texas Legends (6-3) to their first sub-100 game of the season to win the series opener 125-98.
Texas grabbed the first basket off the jump, but the Spurs responded with a 19-5 run and never looked back. Facing a 19-point deficit out of halftime, Texas came out firing, knocking down 71% to cut the gap to 13. The momentum changed in the fourth as Austin took over every angle and closed the game with their largest lead of the night.
Eugene Omoruyi led all scorers with 27 points. Justin Jackson tallied 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Feron Hunt came off the bench for an additional 14 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals.
All Spurs starters finished with double-digit scores, but Devontae Cacok dominated the boards for Austin grabbing 18 rebounds to go with 16 points. Jock Landale finished with 26 points, 8 rebounds, Joe Wieskamp added 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists.
