Knicks Cap Back-To-Back with Another Win over Skyhawks, 121-116

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, were led by six players in double-figures and handled the College Park Skyhawks, 121-116, Friday night at Webster Bank Arena. Westchester has won its last two games.

Two-Way player, Luka Samanic, broke his career-high netting 36 points on 57.7-percent and hauled 12 rebounds-both of which were game-highs. On assignment from the New York Knicks, Miles McBride flirted with a triple-double finishing with 23 points, a career-best and game-high 11 assists and eight rebounds. Brandon Goodwin (affiliate) posted 18 points and tied a team-best four three-pointers made and dished seven dimes. MJ Walker (affiliate) drained all four of his three-point looks and came away with 15 points, his first game in double-digits since November 12. VJ King (returning rights) and Tyler Hall (returning rights) scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.

For the foe, Sharife Cooper led the Skyhawks with 27 points to accompany five helpers. Jalen Johnson ended with 20 points and 11 rebounds for his double-double. Ibi Watson-Boye dropped 16 points off the bench.

The Knicks (4-6) led by as many as 18 points evidenced at the 5:43 mark of the third on a trey from McBride on the feed from Goodwin, 89-71. A 19-10 run for the Skyhawks (0-8) commanded by Johnson and DaQuan Jeffries who each tallied six points in the spurt saw the visitors down just six at the third quarter's conclusion, 96-90.

In the fourth quarter, College Park quickly fell behind by deficits larger than what it entered the frame with until inside the clutch window. The Skyhawks erased all but four points of their hole with 80 seconds remaining in the game, 116-112. McBride drilled a right wing three-pointer to push the Knicks up seven again on the next scoring possession, and two single-valued free-throws less than 15 seconds later saw them up nine, 121-112. College Park instilled offensive-defensive schemes but against the clock, ran out of time before anything proved effective.

Westchester gets considerable time between its next matchup which comes at the Delaware Blue Coats Sunday, December 12 at 3:00 PM ET.
