Santa Cruz Warriors News Release
ONTARIO, CA, 2021 - The Agua Caliente Clippers (6-4) take down the Santa Cruz Warriors (4-7), 115-91, evening up the back-to-back on Thursday night.
Agua Caliente grabbed a season-high 64 rebounds, the second most rebounds in a game by any team this season. Fort Wayne pulled down 66 boards on November 16th.
Six Clippers scored in double-figures, including all five starters, led by Xavier Moon's 19 points. He added six rebounds and five assists.
Amir Coffey and Keon Johnson added 18 points apiece.
Santa Cruz was led by Moses Moody, who recorded 18 points.
Jeff Dowtin added a double-double of 14 points and 10 assists. He fell just three rebounds shy of a triple-double.
After shooting just under 50 percent last night, the Clippers kept their shooting touch tonight, finishing the game hitting 44.7 percent of their shots (46-for-103). A poor shooting performance by the Warriors (35.2 percent, 32-for-91 from the field) combined with Agua Caliente's season-high 20 offensive rebounds (23 second-chance points) led to 12 more shot attempts by the Clippers and 23 second-chance points.
The Clippers start a month-long trip away from Ontario beginning on Tuesday, December 14th, when they take on the South Bay Lakers across the city in El Segundo. Tip-off is at 7 pm PT inside the UCLA Health Training Center. The game can be streamed on ESPN+.
