Former Portland Buckaroo defenseman Mike Donaldson and long-time hockey fan and mentor from Marshall High School, Vince Pesky, combined to present the "Bill Anderson Award" for ability and character to Richie Regehr for the second consecutive season. Previous winners include three time winner Joe Balej, Andrew Ference, Brenden Morrow, Todd Robinson, Lonny Bohonos, Troy Mick, and current Calgary Hitmen coach Richard Kromm, who played for the Hawks' Memorial Cup champions in 1982-83. Booster President Linda Donaldson and Beverly Ickes presented the "Don Ickes Memorial Trophy" for Most Popular Player to Robin Big Snake. The award honors Don Ickes, past president of the Booster Cub, who was tragically killed in December, 2001 in a terrible accident involving speed racing.
