ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE finished the 2003-2004 regular season with a 32-30-7-3 record (19-13-3-1 at home, 13-17-4-2 on the road, 4-0-7-3 in overtime) and in fourth place in the BC DIVISION and in eighth place in the WESTERN CONFERENCE...The ICE finished their regular season with an above .500 record for the fifth consecutive year, and are appearing in their sixth consecutive post-season.
PLAYOFF EXPERIENCE: KOOTENAY has 233 games of WHL PLAYOFF experience on their roster...The ICE have the fifth most playoff experience of any team in the post-season (RED DEER leads with 451 games)...NIGEL DAWES, IGOR AGARUNOV and DALE MAHOVKSY lead all KOOTENAY players in post-season action with 33 games...The ICE have a 47-25 career playoff record (26-10 at home, 21-15 on the road, 12-2 in overtime)...The ROCKETS have 397 games of playoff experience...CAM PADDOCK (45 games), JOSH GORGES (40 games), TYLER MOSIENKO (40 games) and RANDALL GELECH (40 games) lead all KELOWNA players in post-season action...The ROCKETS have a 44-49 career playoff record.
PLAYOFF TICKETS: Tickets for games three and four of the best of seven WESTERN CONFERENCE QUARTER FINAL vs. KELOWNA will go on sale at the CRANBROOK REC PLEX at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 16...Game three will be player on Tuesday, March 23 with game four on Wednesday, March 24...Game time is 7:00 pm both nights...Tickets are available Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm and Sundays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm...Fans attending all playoff games are encourage to wear white clothing to turn the REC PLEX into an AVALANCHE OF WHITE.
DID YOU KNOW: ADAM CRACKNELL, DALE MAHOVSKY, ADAM TAYLOR, IGOR AGARUNOV and BRAD ZANON played in all 72 regular season games...JEFF GLASS tied the franchise record for games played during the regular season with 57 (CLAYTON POOL 1998-1999)...GLASS set a franchise record for shutouts during the regular season with five and has set a franchise record for lowest goals against average at 2.35 (record was 2.45 set by GLASS during the 2002-2003 season)...NIGEL DAWES recorded 47 goals for the second consecutive season (JAY HENDERSON recorded 49 during the 1997-1998 season).
