THREE HOMERS LIFT DASH TO 10-4 WIN

Micker Adolfo, Yeyson Yrizarri and Zach Remillard each hit a home run on Saturday, and right-hander Dylan Cease logged six solid innings as Winston-Salem blew past Carolina 10-4 at Five County Stadium. With runners on first and second in the first inning, Adolfo crushed a three-run homer to left that gave the Dash a 3-0 advantage. Later in the ballgame, Yrizarri blasted his third homer of the season, a solo shot to left-center to make it a 7-3 contest in the eighth. To cap off the night, Remillard smoked a three-run homer off the scoreboard in left-center to push the Dash's lead to six. Dylan Cease logged his seventh quality start in the victory, going six innings and allowing just three solo homers while striking out nine. Danny Dopico relieved Cease in the seventh and locked up his second three-inning save of the year.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

For the fifth consecutive day, the Dash are in first place in the Southern Division, leading by a half-game over the Buies Creek Astros, who Winston-Salem is 5-5 against this year. The Dash last clinched a first-half championship in 2012, when the team went 44-25-1 in team's fourth season with its new moniker. Winston has made the playoffs four times in the Dash era (2009-present).

YOU'RE ALL GROWNS UP

With the end of the first half approaching, Remillard has stepped up his game in the month of June. The former Coastal Carolina star is 9-for-25 (.360) with four homers and 10 RBIs in seven games played. His seven homers overall are tied for second on the team with Micker Adolfo, despite the fact he did not hit one in April.

MICKER'S FLEXIN' AGAIN

After having not homered for 31 consecutive games, Adolfo's is looking more like the guy who won Carolina League Player of the Month honors for April. Over the past two days, the White Sox 10th-best prospect per MLB Pipeline is 3-for-8 with a homer, a double, four runs scored and three RBIs.

LIKE A BIG BEAR

Thanks to Saturday's performance, Cease has overtaken Down East's Jonathan Hernandez as the strikeout king in the Carolina League. With 78 punchouts on the year, Cease is third among White Sox farmhands in that category, trailing only Birmingham's Dane Dunning (86) and Charlotte's Michael Kopech (80). Cease does lead all Minor League pitchers in the system with eight wins.

WHERE WE STAND 62 GAMES IN

Through 62 games this year, the Dash are sitting near the top of the Carolina League leaderboards. On offense, the Dash lead the circuit in doubles (112) and triples (18). Meanwhile, the ballclub is second in the circuit in batting average (.260), runs scored (303), slugging percentage (.408) and on-base percentage (.341). On the mound, the Dash have the second-best ERA (3.57) and tied for second in strikeouts (541). However, the Dash have struggled defensively, as the team is tied for the second-most errors (68) in the circuit.

LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK

Right-hander Luis Martinez gets the ball for Winston-Salem in the series finale against the Muddies on Sunday. Martinez was tagged for five runs (four earned) in five innings of work in his last start, which took place against the Salem Red Sox on June 4. Signed by the White Sox in 2011, Martinez is looking to regain the form he had in his previous two starts before that, when he went a combined 1-1 with a 1.38 ERA against Potomac and Myrtle Beach. Sunday will make his third career appearance against Carolina, along with his first career start against the Muddies.

DASH DOTS

Following Sunday's contest, the Dash head back home to wrap up the first half with a seven-game homestand, which will feature a three-game series against the Pelicans and a four-game set against the Wilmington Blue Rocks...Joel Booker and Blake Rutherford each had three hits in Saturday's contest for the Dash.
