Winnipeg Ice News Release
Winnipeg, MB - On Saturday December 11th at 7:00pm the Winnipeg ICE take on their Conference Rivals the Edmonton Oil Kings at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena, located on the University of Manitoba campus.
The Winnipeg ICE have teamed up again with The Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba for the Teddy Bear Toss Game presented by Manitoba Building Trades
The Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba is committed to supporting constant innovation and improvement to children's healthcare and promises to place the health of Manitoba's children at the centre of every policy, decision and action that they undertake.
ICE fans are encouraged to bring a new-conditioned teddy bear in its packaging to throw on the ice after the Winnipeg ICE score their first goal of the game!
It is important to secure your teddy bear in a plastic bag to ensure they do not get damaged on the ice surface and remain clean during transportation. All teddy bears will be collected and donated to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
Manitoba Building Trades is proud to be the Game Sponsor for the Teddy Bear Toss Game in support of the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
"We represent over 10 thousand skilled trade workers in Manitoba, and this means a lot of hockey fans and hockey families." said Tanya Palson, Director of Business Operations for Manitoba Building Trades "We are excited to combine our love of hockey with extended support for one of our main charity recipients, the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba."
Special guests of the Children's Hospital will be in attendance as well as a large showing from the St. Boniface Minor Hockey Association and their mascot Celly at the game.
In addition to the Game Night on December 11th, the ICE are raising funds for the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba that will provide comfort items for children who are in the hospital over the holidays. ICE Fans that cannot attend the game are encouraged to support the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba by using the following link.
