The Red Wings suffered their third straight loss Tuesday, falling in Buffalo 5-3.

The loss combined with a Scranton win means the Wings (66-68) are six games back with six games to go. Any loss by Rochester or RailRiders win eliminates the Red Wings from playoff contention.

Buffalo plated two in the fourth off Kohl Stewart to build a 2-0 lead. The Bisons upped the lead to 5-0 in the sixth when Santiago Espinal hit a three-run homer off flame-throwing Brusdar Graterol.

All three of Rochester's runs came in the ninth, two on a Zander Wiel homer to make it 5-3. Ronald Torreyes reached on an error to bring the tying run to the plate but Ramon Flores was called out on strikes to end the game.

Game three of the four-game series from Buffalo is Wednesday night at 7:05.
