Arlington, Texas - The Dallas Wings (12 - 16) fell to the Atlanta Dream (7 - 20), 69 - 64, Sunday afternoon at College Park Center.
Dallas veteran Allisha Gray recorded her second straight double-double, finishing with 10 points and a career-high 14 rebounds. It is the first time in Gray's career that she has recorded back-to-back double-doubles.
Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings with 21 points, continuing her WNBA leading 65 game double-digit scoring streak. It is the 15th time this season Ogunbowale has scored more than 20 points. She also was 5-8 (62.5%) from beyond the arc.
The Wings next take the court on Tuesday, September 7, to take on the Connecticut Sun (21 - 6). Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
DALLAS NOTABLES
- Arike Ogunbowale extended her league-leading and franchise record double-digit scoring streak to 65 with a mid-ranger jumper with 2:18 left in the first half.
- The Dallas Wings became the first team in WNBA history to record at least five threes in 46 straight games on a three pointer from Kayla Thornton at the 5:38 mark of the second quarter.
- Allisha Gray recorded 10 points and a career-high 14 rebounds for her second straight double-double. It is the first time in Gray's career that she has tallied back-to-back games with a double-double.
- Charli Collier netted 10 points, her fourth game in double figures this season. She also added seven rebounds.
- As a team, the Wings grabbed 45 boards, including 13 offensive rebounds.
- Kayla Thornton grabbed nine rebounds.
