Dallas Wings News Release

Arlington, TX - Dallas Wings rookie guard JJ Quinerly underwent successful knee surgery on Thursday. Quinerly had an osteochondral allograft procedure and repaired the meniscus in her left knee. She suffered the injury at the Los Angeles Sparks on Aug. 20, sidelining her for the remainder of the season. Quinerly is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2026 season.

Dallas selected Quinerly 27th overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft out of West Virginia. The 5-6 guard averaged 6.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting .426 from the field and .389 from three over 34 games with the Wings this year. Quinerly was just the third third-round pick over the last decade to average at least six points per game in their rookie season, and just the seventh third-round selection in league history to average at least six points and two assists per game in their first year. Her scoring average ranked third among all active third-round picks this season, while her three-point shooting percentage led all active third-round selections.
