Wind Surge Announce 2024 Schedule

Wichita Wind Surge News Release


WICHITA - The Wichita Wind Surge, Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, announced their schedule for the 2024 season on Sunday. The home opener is currently set for Friday, April 5th, against the Frisco Roughriders (Rangers affiliate).

The 2024 season consists of 138 games total with an even split of 69 games on the road and 69 games at home. Similar to the 2023 schedule, most games will be played Tuesday through Sunday, with the exception of Monday, July 1st when the Surge play the Tulsa Drillers (Dodgers affiliate) at home.

The Surge will host the San Antonio Missions (Padres affiliate) and the Springfield Cardinals (Cardinals affiliate) in their only set of full back-to-back home series to close out the month of May and start the month of June. The Surge will also host nine games in a row starting with a six-game series against the NW Arkansas Naturals (Royals affiliate) at the end of June followed by a series against Tulsa leading into the 4thof July that will be split evenly between the two teams, three games in Wichita and three games in Tulsa.

The Wind Surge will host each team in the Texas League North Division at least twice, while hosting each team in the Texas League South Division at least once with the exception of the Amarillo Sod Poodles (Diamondbacks affiliate). The Surge will play seven of the Texas League teams at home and will only see the Corpus Christi Hooks (Astros affiliate) and the Amarillo Sod Poodles (Diamondbacks affiliate) on the road in their respective cities.

The Surge will close out the 2024 season with a home series against Tulsa, with the last home game of the regular season taking place on Sunday, September 15th.
