Tulsa Oilers News Release

TULSA, OK - The Tulsa Oilers just seem to have Wichita's number. Saturday night the Oilers played one of their best games of the season and left Intrust Bank Arena with a 4-1 victory over rival Wichita. It's the fourth straight win for Tulsa and the third win in a row over the Thunder. The two points moves Tulsa (8-4-1) ahead of Wichita (8-4-0) for second place in the Berry Conference standings.

Ryan Cramer got the Oilers going just two and a half minutes into the game when his wrist shot trickled through Thunder goalie Ryan MacDonald for Cramer's fourth tally of the season. David Solway registered his ninth point in the last four games when he found himself all alone in front of MacDonald and tapped the puck home to give Tulsa a 2-0 advantage.

Thomas Beauregard scored for Wichita on the powerplay, and the Oilers led by only a goal going into the second period. In the middle frame, the Oilers powerplay struck for its sixth goal in three games when Dylan Clarke expertly tipped Jeff Terminesi's shot past MacDonald.

From there, the Oilers locked up the high powered Thunder offense thanks in large part to 32 saves from goaltender Ian Keserich. In his league leading eighth win of the season, Keserich made several outstanding stops in the third period to keep the Oilers out front.

Mike Ullrich sealed the deal for Tulsa with a late empty net goal. Cramer, Clarke, and Terminesi finished with two points each as the Oilers swept the weekend home-and-home series with Wichita.

Tulsa is back home Tuesday night for a 7:05pm start in the first meeting of the season with the Arizona Sundogs.

Tickets: Season tickets for the Oilers 20th season in the CHL are now on sale. More information is available by calling the Oilers office at (918) 632-PUCK (7825) or by visiting www.tulsaoilers.com.
