New York Boulders News Release
Aaron Wilson hit a two-RBI triple in the top of the 11th inning to earn the Boulders a 5-4 win over the New Jersey Jackals on Wednesday.
With the Boulders and Jackals tied 3-3 in the top of the 11th, Mikael Mogues was put on second base with no outs, as per the Can-Am League Intentional Tie Breaker rules. Kevin Krause popped out to the second baseman for the first out. Jared McDonald was intentionally walked to put Boulders on first and second. Jason Agresti struck out swinging for the second out. Then, Wilson recorded his first hit of the afternoon with a triple to right field that scored Mogues and McDonald. JC Rodriguez then grounded out to first for the third out.
New Jersey was able to score one in the home half of the 11th, but that was all the Jackals could muster. The Boulders took the win 5-4.
Rockland had a 3-0 lead over New Jersey in the bottom of the ninth but allowed the Jackals to tie the game 3-3.
Although he did not get a decision, David Palladino pitched 6.0 innings of one-hit, scoreless baseball for Rockland, allowing three walks and striking out five in his fourth start of the season.
The Boulders continue the seven-game road trip tomorrow away at the Québec Capitales at 7:00 p.m.
