Red Deer, Alberta - The Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings welcomed a new face at practice in Red Deer on Monday as they continue preparations on what will be a busy 4-game in five night Alberta road swing.

15-year old right winger Klarc Wilson, the Wheat Kings' first pick (10th overall) in last spring's WHL Bantam Draft, joined the club today and is expected to remain with the club until Wednesday.

A 5'11" 197 lb Edmonton product, Wilson is skating with the Knights of Columbus Pats of the Alberta Midget Hockey League this season and is currently tied for 15th in league scoring with fifteen goals and 32 points in 27 games. As well, he has accumulated 67 minutes in penalties.

In 31 games with the Knights of Columbus Squires of the Alberta AAA Bantam Hockey League last season, Wilson finished among the league leaders with thirty-four goals and 79 points.

With Wilson leading the club in scoring, the Pats are currently sitting in fourth place in the Dodge North Division with a record of 13-11-6 through the first thirty games.

The Wheat Kings will play the Rebels on Tuesday, before travelling to Edmonton to face the Oil Kings on Wednesday. Brandon will close out the trip this weekend with games against Kootenay and Calgary on Friday and Saturday nights respectively.

Brandon enters Tuesday's game with a record of 31-14-3-1, good for 66 points - ten behind the front running Saskatoon Blades in the Eastern Division. The Rebels meanwhile are 17-25-1-6 and sitting in 11th place in the Eastern Conference.
