
Blades Defeat Warriors 11-1

The Saskatoon Blades achieved what only two other Blades clubs have been able to do, win 21 games on the road. The Blades rolled over the Warriors 11-1 Sunday night in Moose Jaw.
The Blades have 11 remaining road games to set the all time franchise record. The win also improves the Blades win streak to a very impressive 9 games.
The Blades dominated this game from start to finish as it was a complete team effort. 16 of the Blades 18 skaters registered at least one point. Curtis Hamilton and Burke Gallimore led the offensive outburst with 4 points each. Hamilton had 2 goals and 2 assists, while Gallimore recorded 4 assists to give him 20 goals and 20 assists on the season. Chris Langkow broke out of a 15 game goal-less streak with 2 goals on the night. Teigan Zahn, Travis Toomey, Walker Wintoneak, Jyri Niemi, Derek Hulak, Josh Nicholls, and Brendon Wall all scored once in the game. In their past two meetings the Blades have outscored the Warriors 21-2.
Rookie goaltender Adam Morrison also kept his streak of not losing a game in regulation time alive. Morrison stopped 23 of 24 shots for his 8th win of the season.
The Blades pick up their 36th win of the season, giving them 76 points as they remain 10 points up on Brandon for first in the Eastern Division. The Blades will return to Moose Jaw next Friday as these two teams meet again, before they travel to Saskatoon on Saturday January 31st to finish their 3 game mini series.
