Kennewick, WA - A hard working Silvertips squad concluded their three game weekend with a hard fought effort against Tri-City, taking the Americans to the limit but coming up short in overtime, 4-3. Sunday's loss moves Everett's record to 2-5 against the Americans this season.

This brings the 'Tips record to 21-21-6-1 with 49 points in 49 games played leading them to sixth place in the Western Conference. Everett stands two points behind fifth place Kamloops Blazers and seven points behind fourth place Kelowna Rockets. The Silvertips are now 3-5-1-1 in their last 10 games. Everett now has two days rest before taking on the Spokane Chiefs Wednesday night for a 7:05 start at Comcast Arena.

Everett came out to a strong start playing a hard fought first period against Tri-City despite being outshot 12-7. Their hard work led to the games first two goals. First a Graham Pouter slap shot from the point on the power play was deflected in front by Dailey, his seventh on the year, to give Everett the 1-0 lead at 3 minutes and 31 seconds. Less than two minutes later Theriau ripped a slap shot past Chet Pickard through the five-hole to give the Everett defenseman his first career WHL goal at 5:08 on the power play. Tri-City answered late in the third period with back to back goals of their own starting with Mitch Fadden scoring his 18th of the season at 16:29 on the power play. Tyler Procyshen followed 36 seconds later with his 27th of the season washing out Everett's lead and taking a 2-2 tie into the locker room.

In the third period Harper scored his Silvertips leading 21st goal of the year poking in the puck after a scrum developed in front of Pickard at 7:49 giving Everett the 3-2 lead. Procyshen answered with a slap shot from the top of the right circle that beat Simpson at 16:22 five-hole tying the game 3-3. After 60 minutes of hard fought hockey the game went into overtime where Fadden would score his second goal of the night collecting the puck from behind the net and skating out in front beating Simpson for the game winner at 1:10 of overtime.
