BROCKTON – The Brockton Rox have announced that American icons and musical legends Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan will appear together in concert at Campanelli Stadium Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004.

The show is part of the pair's "Field of Dreams Tour," presented by JAM Productions, which begins Aug. 6 at Doubleday Field at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y., and travels to 22 independent-league and minor-league ballparks around the country.

"We are thrilled to be able to host a concert for two legends like Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson," said Rox general manager David Sacchetti. "It's a perfect blend of two great American traditions – music and baseball."

Tickets for the Field of Dreams Tour will be available for Rox season-ticket holders beginning Tues., June 22, at 10 a.m. Field of Dreams Tour tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Sat., June 26, at 9 a.m. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Rox box office, by phone at (508) 559-7070, or from Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets are for general admission only (no reserved seating). All tickets are $45 (plus service charges). Children 12 years old and under will be admitted free, with a paying adult.

The Hot Club of Cowtown will open the show at 6:30 p.m.

The Brockton Rox, 2003 champions of the independent Northeast League, have added three additional dates and four additional games to their schedule at Campanelli Stadium.
