Aces Lose Battle Of Basement Squads
June 22, 2004 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
Aces News Release
In a battle of the two last-place teams in each division, only the Aces looked the part, as Bangor won behind a spectacular outing from Jerry Long. Long pitched a 3-hit, 7-strikeout gem for Bangor, pitching just the third complete game shutout all year. Long wasn't the only spectacular part of the Lumberjacks' game, though. Three Lumberjacks' went deep tonight, including Don Ross's ninth homerun, giving him a share of the league lead.
