The Williamsport Crosscutters scored 2 in the 9th and brought the winning run to the plate but lost to State College 6-5 Thursday night at Muncy Bank Ballpark.
Brayland Skinner collected his second-straight two-hit game, finishing 2-for-2 with a pair of RBI singles.
Skinner also was hit by a pitch and walked, reaching bases all four times.
Tyler Lasch finished the night 2-for-5 with an RBI. Lasch has five hits over his last two games, and is tied for the team lead with 12 RBI.
Noah Robinson and David Mata combined to throw three innings of scoreless relief, keeping the game close as the Cutters bats looked to make the comeback.
Sal Ferro (0-2) took the loss, allowing five runs over five innings. The lefty struck out three, walked three and gave up seven hits, including a home run.
