
Wildcats Drop Close One to Olympiques

Moncton Wildcats News Release
The Moncton Wildcats dropped the first game of a three game weekend on Friday night at the Coliseum. A goal at 16:42 of the third by Joshua Domingues gave the victory to the visiting Gatineau Olympiques.
The first period was scoreless. Alain Goulet scored the games first goal for Gatineau, on the power-play at 7:59 of the second.
Daniel Pettersson evened the game for Moncton at 6:23 of the third. An assist went to Wildcats goalie Nicola Riopel.
The Wildcats lifted Riopel for the last 90 seconds but were unable to get the equalizer.
Moncton out shot Gatineau 26-23, on the power play the Olympiques were 1 for 3, the Wildcats 0 for 6.
The games three stars were Daniel Pettersson of the Cats getting the third star, Olympiques goalie Maxime Clairmont was second and Nicola Riopel got first star honors.
