
40 years of QMJHL history on CKAC Sports

BOUCHERVILLE, Friday, January 9, 2009 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in collaboration with CKAC Sports and Cordon Bleu starting on Monday will celebrate some of the League's greatest moments with the presentation of forty commemorative radio segments.
These 40th anniversary radio segments, created by Stéphane Leroux, will be broadcast for the next twenty weeks on CKAC Sports and a few sister stations from Monday to Friday at 8:50, 12:35, 18:00 and 23:30 and on week-ends at 11:00.
"I am very happy to announce this new initiative with CKAC Sports," said the Commissioner of the QMJHL, Gilles Courteau. "These 40th anniversary radio segments will give fans an opportunity to go back in time to relive some of our history's most memorable moments while hearing from several of our greatest ambassadors. I would like to thank CKAC Sports and Cordon Bleu for their excellent cooperation in this endeavour."
The radio segments will be available in the archives section of the CKAC Sports website (www.corussports.com) and via the League's home page (www.lhjmq.qc.ca). Moreover, the content will be available in both languages in the near future across all QMJHL markets.
