Washington Wild Things News Release

Florence, KY - The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Financial, lost their third straight game when they fell to the Florence Freedom by a score of 3-0 Saturday night in Kentucky.

The Wild Things have gone 26 consecutive innings without scoring a run.

The Freedom scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning when Kevin Haas hit a three run homer, driving in Willie Holmes and Drew Rundle.

Washington couldn't take advantage of a bases loaded situation that would have put them back in the game in the sixth inning.

Justin Hall (7-5) took the loss allowing three runs on ten hits, walking two, and striking out three in eight innings of work.

The Freedom's Alec Lewis pitched a complete game shut out.

The Wild Things and Freedom meet for the third game of this set Sunday night when first pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Air time on WJPA 95.3 FM is 5:55 p.m. The Wild Things return to CONSOL Energy Park to host the Florence Freedom Friday, August 12th.

Extra Notes:

Wild Things' RHP Mark Williams's contract was sold to the Brewers. Williams is the third Wild Things pitcher to advance to Affiliated Ball this season.
