The Wenatchee Wild held off a Kelowna Rocket comeback, scoring the game winner less than a minute into overtime to force a game six on Sunday back in Kelowna.
The Wild, who entered the night trailing 1-3 in the best of seven series, needed to win to keep their season alive.
An eventful first period saw the two combine for a total of 57 penalty minutes. By the end of the game, the Rockets had 11 man advantages. All four of their goals came while a member of the Wild was sitting in the penalty box.

GAME SUMMARY
Kenta Isogai (3) quickly got the Wild on the board first with a wraparound goal 44 seconds into the game. Michael Cicek (1) at the left side of the net put away the game tying goal while on the power play just past the midway point of the opening frame. Isogai (4) struck again, this time while on the penalty kill, letting a shot fly from the slot that beat Jari Kykkanen. As Isogai fired the shot, Luke Schelter delivered a hit that resulted in Isogai leaving the game with an injury and Schelter receiving a five minute major and a game misconduct for kneeing.
Briley Wood (6) scored the lone goal of the second period, tallying a power play marker.
Just before the midway point of the third period, Rockets captain Gabriel Szturc (3) ripped a one-timer past Daniel Hauser while on the power play. Evan Friesen (2) responded 1:14 later for Wenatchee with another power play goal. Friesen was later called for a double minor high sticking penalty that gave the Rockets four minutes of power play time to work with late in the period. Szturc (4) and Tij Iginla (7) both found the back of the net 1:43 apart on the power play to tie the game.
In overtime, the Wild won the faceoff to the left of Jari Kykkanen. Steven Arp (1) picked up the puck and peeled around the outside of the circle, letting a shot go from the outside hashmarks that found its way past a crouching Cicek and past Kykkanen to secure the win for Wenatchee 54 seconds into extra time.
