Iowa Barnstormers News Release

DES MOINES -The Iowa Barnstormers continued tweak their midseason roster as Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Mike Hohensee announced that the team has agreed to terms with rookie Wide Receiver Josh Chichester.

Chichester (6-8, 240) played his college football at the University of Louisville from 2008-2011. In four years he caught 99 passes for 1253 yards and 11 touchdowns. Last season as a senior, he was converted from Wide Receiver to Tight End where he continued to flourish.

When asked to comment Hohensee stated, "Josh is the type of receiver that we've been looking for all season. His height and good hands will allow us to do some things that we haven't been able to do yet this season, and he should help our productivity in red-zone situations."

Chichester played his High School football at Lakota West High School in Ohio, where he was rated as a four star prospect by scout.com. He finished his senior season with 36 catches for 723 yards and 7 touchdowns. The rookie joined the Barnstormers for practice this morning and will wear number 12.

Chichester will be looking to make his debut with the Barnstormers this Friday night, June 1 when the Cleveland Gladiators come to town for a 7:05pm contest at Wells Fargo Arena. The game will be televised live nationwide on the NFL Network. Friday's game is sponsored by Casey's. The first 3,500 fans through the gates will receive a free rally towel courtesy of Casey's. Great seats remain on sale now at the Wells Fargo Arena Box Office, online at www.theiowabarnstormers.com or by calling the team's offices at 515.633.2255.
