
Philadelphia Soul Take over Evesham on Friday

PHILADELPHIA (May 29, 2012) - The American Conference-leading Philadelphia Soul (8-3) will be holding a "Town Takeover" of Evesham Township on Friday, June 1 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The Town Takeover, presented by Susquehanna Bank, will take place on 101 Route 70 East (at the former Sears Essentials parking lot) and will feature a "run-through" practice by the Philadelphia Soul.
This will be the team's last practice before the Soul take on the Orlando Predators (1-9) on Saturday, June 2, with kickoff scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center. The event will be free to the public. During the practice, random residents will be asked to participate by "running plays" with the Soul team.
Local Philadelphia Band, Rivers Monroe, will be performing live before and after the practice, there will be face painters and balloon artists, food, drinks and more. In addition to Soul players and coaches, there will be appearances by the Soul mascot, SoulMan, the Soulmates dance team, Soul ownership and front office staff. After the practice, fans will be able to meet Soul players and Soulmates who will be signing autographs.
The Soul game the night after the Town Takeover on Saturday, June 2 will be Evesham Township Night at the Soul. Half of each ticket purchased for the game by Evesham Township residents will be donated to The Award-Winning Evesham Celebrations Foundation. In addition, Hip-Hop/R&B Artist Fat Joe will be performing live after their game on Saturday, June 2. The post-game concert will be free to fans that purchase a ticket to the Soul's game that day and season ticketholders. VIP Meet-and-Greet passes are available to purchase for an additional cost.
