
Wichita Rallies to Defeat Tulsa

TULSA, OK - Aaron Sabato hit a two-run home run in the top of the eighth to tie the game and then a solo home run by Alerick Soularie gave the Surge the push they needed to rally and defeat Tulsa. Wichita won the fifth game of the series 4-3 and Tulsa now leads the series three games to two.
The Drillers scored first during the bottom of the second. Yusniel Diaz hit a two-run home run over the right field wall.
Seth Gray hit a ball straight over the center field wall for a solo home run and gave the Wind Surge their first run of the ball game in the top of the fourth.
Tulsa added one more run in the bottom of the fourth. Diego Cartaya hit an RBI single to left field.
A two-run home run hit over the right field wall by Aaron Sabato tied the ball game in the top of the eighth inning.
The Wind Surge took the lead in the top of the ninth. The tie-breaking run and the third home run of the day came at the hands of Alerick Soularie when he hit a solo home run 371 feet over the left field wall.
Travis Adams started on the mound for Wichita. He pitched a full five innings where he delivered five strike outs and gave up three runs off five hits. Alex Scherff earned the win tonight after pitching one and one thirds innings where he struck out two batters.
Nick Frasso was the starting pitcher for Tulsa. He pitched three and one third innings. He gave up one run off four hits and struck out six batters. Ricky Vanasco is credited with the loss.
The Wichita Wind Surge improve to (6-5),(34-45) and the Tulsa Drillers fall to (4-7),(45-35). Tulsa leads the Coors Light Propeller Series 12-5 with seven games to play.
NOTES: Aaron Sabato extended his hit streak to eight games. DaShawn Keirsey Jr. got his 28th stolen base of the season.
