White's Double-Double Leads Jam Past Stampede

BAKERSFIELD, December 15, 2015 - Terrico White scored a game-high 34 points, including 7-of-8 from beyond the arc, and grabbed 13 rebounds in a 106-97 Bakersfield Jam (7-6) home victory over the Idaho Stampede (4-11) on Tuesday night.

Bakersfield and Idaho got off to hot starts as both teams shot above 58 percent from the field in the first quarter, leading to five lead changes and four ties early in the game. Despite both teams shooting lights out in the opening quarter, the Jam held a 34-24 advantage after one, and stretched their lead to 14 in the second period. Bakersfield would go into the half ahead 54-41.

The Jam managed to keep their hot shooting going in the third and held a double-digit lead throughout most of the quarter. In the final frame, Bakersfield would build their biggest lead of the game (23) behind a great team effort on both ends of the floor.

Xavier Munford had 19 points and a game-high nine assists, while Earl Clark posted 14 points, six assists and two blocks. Renaldo Major (12) and Javier Carter (10) also scored in double-figures.

Tyus Jones led the Stampede with 29 points and five assists. Brandon Fields added 19 points while Jeff Ayers tallied 14 points.

The Jam will next host the Canton Charge on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. PT.
